It is the last day of 2017 and here I am thinking back on the year’s events in my life. With the trials in life, my faith is what had kept me going. The main trial this year was the worsening of my health. I suffer from chronic pains and multiple health issues. Life as I knew it had changed drastically from what it was a few years ago. My latest devotional has been newly published on Amazon in Kindle format. It is called “Letting Go and Letting God- a devotional on forgiveness”. There may be someone in your life who has done you wrong and you find it hard to forgive that person. It doesn’t matter how hard you try or if even if you ignore the fact that you are keeping unforgiveness in your heart. Unforgiveness leads to keeping you a prisoner to the past. I have used my own experience of being a victim of domestic violence to share how I came to forgive my ex-husband after sixteen years.

Letting God and Letting Go- A devotional to Forgiveness
Today, I want to say that I thank God for all His many blessings He has bestowed on me. This year has been a rough one for me with many health issues, doctor visits, tests and some life changes. Amidst all that, I have seen Him intervene. He has helped me up when I was down. He was there for me when I cry in pain. He held my hand when I needed someone to guide me. Over and over again, the Lord has taken care of me. I am proud to say that I am a Child of God.
As we get busy with the holidays, I pray that we take some time to thank God for His blessings. Each day is a gift. Tell your family how much they mean to you. Spread some cheer in this world. Lend a hand to those in need. Be thankful for today because it is gone and never to return. Life is a one way journey. We cannot turn the clock back. Be happy, be grateful, be thankful. With lots of love from my home to yours, Happy Thanksgiving 2017!
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
Things happen in our lives that we wish wouldn’t have happened. Whether it is illness, loss of job, friends turning against you etc, know that the Lord has you right where He wants you to be. Sometimes, we cannot understand why but He does. It can either make us stronger, be a help to someone else or something we needed to get our eyes on Him. Whatever it is, if you belong to Him, you are safe in His hands. That does not mean life is all good but it does mean that your problems are His also. Let Him handle it. Seek His Will and He will direct your path. Have a blessed day!
